DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service)

My most recent DBS certification has come through: dated 22 July 2023.

What is a DBS check?

The Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) helps employers in England to make safer recruitment decisions and prevent unsuitable people from working with vulnerable groups, including children.

Certification from the DBS can be taken to mean that the DBS consider a worker, teacher, volunteer, individual to be "a suitable person" to work with children.

I am very appy to share a copy of my current certification with anyone who wishes to see it. 

Expiry date: DBS checks do not have an expiry date. However, the DBS recommends that certification be sought approximately every 3 years. So parents can rest assured that my DBS certification is 'valid' until mid-2026.

Of course, I have also had several other successful DBS checks - most recently in November 2021.
